Ministers Support Students’ Protest

Posted on

In their Summer School in Carmarthen today, ministers belonging to the Union of Welsh Independents unanimously agreed to send greetings to the students who are currently protesting at Pantycelyn Hall of Residence, Aberystwyth, and called on the University Council to pay regard to the concerns of the residential Welsh student community.

Students and language protesters have occupied the building, which has been a Welsh hall of residence for the past 40 years.

The University Council meets on Monday June 22 to finally decide on the future of Pantycelyn.
