Nebo Independent Chapel was first built in 1824, rebuilt in 1857, and rebuilt again in 1896. Nebo celebrates 200 years in 2024.

The chapel building is situated in the unusual and beautiful village of Felindre not far from Morriston and Llangyfelach in Swansea. The chapel has had a long history of Christian witness in the village and has been blessed for nearly 200 with the ministry of many notable ministers, with the most recent ones pictured below. The chapel has a very large membership of nearly 100, however it has become a challenge in recent years to attract many to the weekly services because of life style, circumstance and demographics, however the church meets each Sunday at 10.30am where a good congregation of around 20 members and friends assemble to worship God and hear his Word through the medium of Welsh.

The chapel is a happy place to be and it is a chapel that continues to work hard to ensure the continuation of the cause. Nebo celebrates St David’s Day with a Welsh themed service with refreshments (and Welsh cakes) after the service. In November, the chapel held an open day for people from the community to visit in order to enjoy refreshments, meet members and friends and buy some gifts for the Christmas period. All these efforts are hoping to bring about more fruit for Christ and an increase in his church.

Please find the chapel on Facebook under: Nebo, Felindre.
