Catalonia: Union Call

Posted on

As the Regional Government of Catalonia prepares to discuss declaring independence next week, the Council of the Union of Welsh Independent Churches, meeting at Gregynog in Powys (Saturday, October 7) agreed to send an urgent message to the Archbishops of Barcelona and Madrid, and to the Spanish ambassador to the UK. The union has respectfully urged the Catholic Archbishops to preach tolerance and has called on the ambassador to ask his government not to react in a violent manner if Catalonia does declare independence.
